Hardware

Different pieces of hardware (screws, bolts, nuts, hooks, fasteners, etc.) act as a natural puzzle. Figuring out which pieces fit together will sometimes be easy and other times more challenging. The beauty and intrigue of it all is that there is usually more than one way to put the pieces together. This experience engages a child’s cognitive and fine motor skills as the two systems work together to solve these unique puzzles. Beyond exploring how these pieces fit (and do not) fit together, children also use these interesting pieces to add to (and connect!) their structures and arrangements.
